This tall woodland sunflower has bright yellow ray flowers with slight darker yellow centers. Its not only beautiful but is important to many different types of wildlife! It is the larval host plant for the Silvery Checkerspot, supports a variety of specialized bees, and the seeds are enjoy by songbirds and other wildlife.
