Things to do in December

Design

                Now that cold weather has arrived, the time has come to catch up on some garden and landscape reading.  Spend some time perusing books for new ideas and tips for next year.

Chores

                If you decide to take some evergreen cuttings for decorations, be careful not to destroy any trees or shrubs in the process.  Branches should be removed in the same manner as pruning, with care to make clean, well-placed cuts.

                Protect any delicate plants or specimens in your garden as needed.
