An early blooming bulb that produces a 4 foot tall stems topped with a "crown" yellow bell shaped flowers. Deer, rabbit, and black walnut tolerance makes this a nice addition to gardens in our area! Usually blooms from May to June and will go dormant with the summer heat. Prefers full sun to part shade in well drained soils. Tolerant of clay soils and is cold hardy. Fragrant flowers and foliage help to keep the critters away so it may be good for bordering beds.
