This is a "Sport" of Maui Buttercups Hosta which means that It was basically a naturally occurring genetic change that offered different ornamental features than the original plant. The leaves emerge a solid light green and quickly develop dark green borders with brilliant gold centers. As with most of the thicker foliage hostas it is naturally slug resistant. Grows up to 24" with the flower.
