'Burgundy Spice' produces fantastic dark purple foliage throughout the summer! Dark foliage is paired with maroon flowers that have a nice fragrance. The flowers bloom in summer and will sporadically bloom into fall.

This is a very adaptable species that grows well in wet soils but also is quite drought-tolerant once established. Calycanthus even does well in shade, although it will be more leggy and will not flower as well.
