A sight to behold in the spring! Huge round flowers clusters getting to 6-10 inches in diameter rise up on a leafless stalk that can't be missed. Blooms are a dark lavender color and flower for most of the spring. After the blooms fade they will dry and remain on the stem which can be quite ornamental as well.
There is basal foliage that will fade in the summer, it is recommended to use succession planting to cover the withering foliage. This is a sterile hybrid so self seeding will not be an issue. The bulbs once established can be divided in the fall to thin the amount or use elsewhere in the garden.
