'Early Amethyst’ has small, pink to lavender flowers that bloom from June to August, followed by large clusters of amethyst-purple fruits which ripen in late summer through October. These berries ripen earlier on this cultivar than on species plants, hence the cultivar name. This would be a great choice for bird gardens, as the berries are a favorite of multiple species.
