A compact dwarf variety that would be a good replacement for box woods. Will grow to about 1 to 1 1/2 feet tall making it a great addition to small landscapes or garden that needs some year round interest. This arborvitae has handsome glossy green foliage that is evergreen. It is a fast growing shrub that prefers moist, wet soil in full sun to part shade. These will handle pruning well and keep a nice shape if a more traditional landscape is desired.
