Purple Coneflowers are garden classics. This cultivar typically has flower petals that are not as drooping as the straight species as well as shorter in stature.
Coneflower is a wonderful pollinator plant! Attracts bees and butterflies with its long blooming flowers. Seeds are a great source of food for birds in the winter. Coneflower is also a host plant for several butterfly and moths species including the Wavy Lined Emerald.
An easy to grow perennial that thrives in full sun and well draining soils. Good drought tolerance once established. Deer don't tend to much on these plants but we have seen strong populations eat them.
