Vulcan shows strong growth with nice white centers that wont 'melt out'. Contrasting with the dark green margins the variegated foliage is quite attractive. Lavender flowers emerge in mid-summer attracting hummingbirds! Hosta are best in part to full shade. If planted in part shade it is best to have morning sun with afternoon shade.
