Attractive deeply lobed foliage gives way to bell shaped white to lilac flowers from about May to June. A nice woodland native that grows best in part shade.Foliage can appear to have "water stains" which many speculate that's how this plant got its common name. If planted in rime location it can spread rather quickly. Prefers moist to wet soils. Grows to be 1-2 feet tall and wide.
