This is a hybrid species of two of our native oaks, the Bur Oak and Swamp White Oak. These two species can be seen hybridizing in the wild. ‘Kimberly Select’ produces lots of acorns making it a good choice for wildlife planting. The foliage is dark glossy green and heavily lobes. The leaf veins are rather prominent with their yellowish color.

Oaks support a ton of butterfly and moth species making them a great choice for attracting all sorts of wildlife

This hybrid species is quite adaptable in soil conditions including wet areas and dry upland locations.
