This native shrub will form a thicket about 4' tall and can tolerate a wide array of conditions except poorly drained soils. The fall color is a terrific! Shades or red, orange and even purple. The foliage is somewhat similar to its cousin Rhus radicans, aka Poison Ivy, but it has all the fall color but none of the poisonous nature!
