A slow spreading fern that is named for its rounded ends. Light green in color this fern provides texture to woodland gardens. Similar to many ferns there will be sterile fronds that from throughout the season but in midsummer you will see little brown dots on some of the new fronds. These are the spores used for reproduction!
Best in dappled shade, part shade, or full shade settings. These ferns absolutely hate wet, so dry to average soil moisture is best. It is found on rocky cliffs and ledges in its native range. It would be a nice addition for dry shade areas that are typically hard to plant.
