Awesome array of colors on this Eastern Redbud! From pinks, purples, greens to oranges and reds. This smaller sized tree fits well in most landscapes and will give you multi season interest. An early spring blooms gives you a burst of color while most other plants are still dormant. Blooms will be a bright pink against red stems. Flowers before the tree leafs out. After the flowers new foliage emerges a reddish purple that will fade into the deep green of summer. Fall will bring spectacular oranges and reds. In addition to be a visually pleasing specimen this plant also boats wildlife benefit. Songbirds and quail enjoy the seeds while butterflies and bees gather nectar from the flowers. This tree is usually multi stemmed but can be trained to be a single trunk. Prefers full sun to part shade and moist well drained soils. It will grow to about 20 feet tall and 25 feet wide. Deer and black walnut resistant.
