Nice small native tree that can be grown as a single stem tree or a multi stemmed large shrub. Blooms in the early spring with white star shaped flowers in the early spring- The pollinators love the flowers! Small black fruits appear in June and are edible. Flowers are a great food source for pollinators, while the berries will be enjoyed by birds and other mammals. If that wasn't enough it is also a larval host for Red-spotted Purple and Viceroy butterflies! The fall color is a gorgeous! Shades of yellow, red and orange! Grows to 25-30' tall and 15-20 feet wide.
