Caprinus caroliniana can be found as multi stemmed or single stemmed, has a good wide round shape to the canopy. It gets about 20-35 feet tall and wide. The bark is a smooth gray similar to beech. In spring male and female catkins will form. The female catkins will turn into winged nutlets that birds will enjoy the seed from. Pollinators will enjoy the flowering catkins. This tree is typically found along rivers and streams in nature making it able to withstand some flooding. No serious diseases.
