"Cherokee Brave' has classic dogwood bracts with a beautiful bright pink that fades into white at the center. A nice smaller tree that birds love!This dogwood is a vigorous grower that produces bronze reddish greenish new leaves that transition to full green in maturity. Really nice fall color that is red purple in color. Birds will eat the red fruit that is produced in fall. Grows to be 20-25 feet tall and wide. Prefers part shade and moist well drained soils. This particular one is supposedly more drought resistant than other dogwoods and has good mildew resistance. Black walnut tolerant and deer resistant.
