A great ground cover that works wonderfully in those hard to plant dry shady areas! New leaves are a beautiful maroon that will transition into a glossy dark green in summer. Spring produces creamy flowers that stand out against the dark foliage. Spiny long foliage is deer resistant and is evergreen - semi evergreen. A slow to establish species that gets to be about 12-16 inches tall by 18-24 inches wide.
