A tall native perennial that can get to 7 feet tall. Large domes of small pink lavender flowers sit atop strong stems with whorled leaves. A huge pollinators magnet! Its a great source of nectar for honeybees.Butterflies are also frequent visitors to Joe Pye Weed. The seeds are eaten by swamp sparrow and other birds. Prefers full sun and can handle drier soils and wetter soils. Easy to grow and blooms from July to September giving those pollinators food late into the season.
