An easy to grow large native shade tree. Compound leaves create a nice dappled shade and turn a golden yellow in fall. This is one of the last trees to leaf out and first to loose its leaves in fall so you may be able to keep some grass growing underneath this tree. A yellow fragrant flower will form but it is rather inconspicuous. Grows to be 50 -70 feet tall. A thornless honeylocust that is drought tolerant and tolerant of being occasionally wet. Deer resistant and black walnut tolerant. Full sun to part shade and highly adaptable to many conditions.
