Nice clump forming classic garden perennial. The deep purple foliage in the spring matures to bronze over the summer. This is a cultivar that has been around for a while and has proven itself to be reliable. 

Although with adequate moisture it could handle more sun it is best in some shade. Deer do not typically find the foliage tasty.
