These are straight native Winterberry hollies that are all male. A great choice to pollinate straight species Winterberry hollies but will also pollinate many cultivars. It typically blooms from May to June with tiny white flowers.
Although the flowers are small they are beloved by bees!It is the host plant for the Henry Elfin.
Winterberry Holly grows in a vase shape, often with more foliage at the top than the bottom. It does well in average garden soil but can also tolerate wet soils, which makes it perfect for rain gardens.
