Eastern White Pine is a great tree for the backyard. Its evergreen needles will give year-round color and once the tree reaches full maturity of 60'+ it will shade your home and backyard.

If you're a birder- these trees provide great shelter to birds from predators, are used by specialist birds that crack the pine cones open and are a beloved home to owls! Mammals including bears, squirrels, deer all eat the seeds from the cones as well. It is a larval host for Imperial Moth.

This large pine grows naturally in dry ridges. Grows best in well draining soils in full sun. Eastern White Pines cycle out old needles so you will see some needle shed in the fall, which can act as a nice mulch.
