A native climbing rose that has better disease resistance than hybrid roses! Beautiful fragrant pink blooms emerge in June. These roses have a color changing effect starting out bright pink and fading to almost white as the season progresses! Summer foliage is a nice dark green that is typical of roses but fall brings shades of orange and red.
Blooms are enjoyed by pollinators for their pollen and nectar. The dense foliage provides shelter and nesting sites for birds. Rose hip fruits in the fall give birds and mammals food.
This is a climbing rose so it can be utilized on arbors, trellises, fences, etc. Prefers moist soils but is generally drought resistant once established especially with some afternoon shade. The best flowering is produced in full sun with adequate moisture.
