A picturesque tree with multi season interest. Spring has cup shaped white blooms with golden yellow centers, summer boats dark green foliage, fall provides showy fall color, and winter gives the exfoliating bark a chance to shine.Fall color is a mix of reddish oranges yellows and burgundies and it quite spectacular. Exfoliating brown bark flakes off to reveal smooth rusty orange light gray. Growing about 20-40 feet tall and 20-30 feet wide with a pyramidal shape. Prefers full sun to part shade and moist soils. Does not do well with dry, rocky areas. Does best in part shade where the soil doesn't dry out.
