An extremely shade tolerant evergreen with dark green needles and bright red berries in winter. A native yew that works great for foundational plantings but is unfortunately loved by deer. Very cold hardy with a zone of 3-7 this understory shrub grows with a wider than tall prostrate habit. On the slower growing side but it can spread via seed and rooting from existing branches to for colonies. Absolutely beautiful if you can keep the deer away.
