Native from the south the central US this cold hardy wisteria is not as aggressive as the Asian species but still grows with good vigor. Large foot long racemes of lavender blue flowers adorn this vine starting around June. Blooms have a delightful scent making it a great choice for a trellis around a seating area. Unlike other wisterias once established you can get repeat blooms, sometimes up to three per year. Prefers full sun to part shade with the best flowering in full sun. Grows 15-25 feet tall and 4-8 feet wide. Deer resistant.
