A all around good addition in this area! Deer don't like it, it grow in full sun to shade, has attractive flowers, black walnut tolerant, etc.. White blooms appear in spring each on a slender stem after blooming thimble like seed heads eventually turn to a fluffy mass of seeds. Usually blooming in April and May this perennial will preform best in sun or part shade but handles full shade beautifully. Prefers dry - moist well drained soils . Anemone virginiana will still spread readily like other anemones but isn't near as vigorous as Anemone canadensis.
