Not only is this an attractive warm-season grass with its fluffy plums but its shade tolerant! Flowers start a purplish reddish color and mature to a nice tan color. Flowers and seed heads make a nice cut flower. Blooms from late summer to early fall accenting its arching foliage. Fall color is a golden tan color that holds through winter. Grows in full sun to part shade typically liking moist soil in sunnier locations and tolerates drier soils in shadier spots. Probably best in the morning sun and afternoon shade.
