A shorter grass with a slim and upright habit only getting 3-4 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. Has a nice blue/green foliage with rosy red blooms Good for tidy screens or bed edges. Blooms throughout summer. Strong sturdy stems handle snow really well. This allows it to be kept up for winter interest and cover for birds. Cut back in late winter/early spring before new foliage starts to grow. Prefers full sun and moist to wet soil. Black walnut tolerant.
