A densely branched maple that provides a multi color display of foliage on its cascading branches. Lacy foliage changes from dark green , to deep purple, then to bright oranges and reds. Typical of Japanese maples this is a slow growing small tree only reach half its mature height in 10 years. Full grown 'Oraneola' can reach 8 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide. Grows well in full sun to part shade but usually prefers some afternoon shade. Best in moist but well drained soil.
