A nice smaller Buckeye tree featuring outstanding orange/red fall color. 'Lavaburst' has a narrow upright habit making it a great choice for smaller landscapes! Another plus for small yards is the slower growth rate. This Aesculus features shorter internode spacing, which creates a denser and fuller canopy. Creamy greenish flowers will appear with the foliage. The bloom time is short but they are beautiful while flowering. Foliage is a nice light green throughout the summer. This hardy tree prefers full sun to part shade and sports a better leaf scorch resistance than typically seen with Aesculus.
