Awesome plant for bees and butteflies! Small golden yellow blooms on thin leafed foliage. A fragrant plant that is known for smelling like anise when the leaves are crushed. This species does not tend to spread as aggressively as some other goldenrods. An easy perennial to grow that tolerates average, dry, and medium soils. It prefers full sun or part shade and gets 2-4 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide. This will bloom for a long time from August to September. Deer and drought resistant. Doesn't cause hay fever like some previously thought.
