Eutrochium dubium, commonly known as coastal plain Joe Pye weed, is a wetland species that is native primarily to sandy swamps, riverbanks, and moist thickets in Eastern North America. Small flowers that range in color from light pink to dark purple bloom from July to September. Because of where this plant naturally grows, this would be a good choice for rain gardens or water margins. Eutrochrium dubium can also be planted in moist areas of meadows, borders, and native plant gardens.
