Hakone grass is one of our favorite non-native perennials. The deer resistance is fantastic and it brightens up shady spots. It forms a nice spreading clump of arching leaf blades.

Although it can be grown in a good amount of sun it is best in at part shade. Easy to grow and easy to care for.
