It is also a larval host plant for the Spring azure Butterfly and the Snowberry Clearwing Moth! Late summer - fall red berries are produced and are not only ornamental but the birds will eat them. Best flowering is produced in full sun with moist well drained soils. Flowers in late spring to early summer with sporadic reblooming throughout the summer.
