Coralberry is known for its pink berries that often persist into the winter, adding color and interest to the winter landscape. The blooms are small and insignificant but they are loved by pollinators.

Coralberry grows in thickets with arching stems, it can spread easily by rhizomes to naturalize areas.  The suckers can be pruned off to control the size, although the white-throated sparrows and dark-eyed juncos love the dense branching.
