A large stately deciduous conifer that has soft yellow green foliage in summer that transitions to a nice russet color in fall. A highly adaptable tree that can handle wet areas as well as tolerate drier spots.A nice pyramidal slender shape. Cones will form that birds and small mammals will enjoy. It is also the larval host for the Baldcypress Sphinx Moth. Most well known for growing in swamp areas and the "knees" produced on the trunk. The knees only form in full submerged growing conditions.
