Leggy stems are produced to hold attractive green foliage and the small clusters of burgundy flowers with yellow centers. A smaller shrub getting to only about 3 feet tall. Foliage turn a reddish purple in fall with leaves often hanging on into winter. Adorable blooms come out from April to May. Prefers moist wetter areas in the shade.
