A dwarf form of the beautiful native shrub! Compared to the species that gets up to 12 feet tall 'Sugar Shack' only gets to be 5 feet tall. The perfect size for any landscape! Unique round shaped blooms cover this plant in summer. Flowers are fragrant and loved by pollinators. Round red fruits are produced in the fall that are really beautiful. Glossy foliage turns a mix or red, yellow, and purple in the fall.

You will see butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds all looking to get some sweet nectar from the blooms. Fruits in the fall provide food for birds.

Typically grows into a nice full plant that doesn't need a whole lot of pruning. Naturally found along stream banks and waters edge so it would be a really good option for wet areas and rain gardens.
