The blooms are loved by pollinators of all sorts! It has loads of nectar you can even see the blooms glisten in the sun. Because it is found in wet areas many different species of waterfowl eat the seeds.

Naturally found in wet areas like along stream banks and pond edges. It works great in rain gardens or erosion control areas that are poor draining. This species can get quite large but there are small cultivars on the market like 'Sugar Shack' and 'Magical Moonlight'
