A large shrub with maple-like leaves that are a medium green color in summer and have a good red-purple fall color. Multi-season interest with attractive white flowers and edible red fruits. Blooms from May to June and develops the fruit after flowering. Fruits are often made into preserves if you are able to get to them before the birds! Grows to be 8-12 feet tall and wide. Prefers full sun to part shade and moist well-drained soil. Doesn't like excessive dry sites.
