An unmistakable sedge! This little beauty has interesting foliage that the Mt. Cuba Center describes as 'geometric' and we'd have to agree. It forms a nice clump of light green blades. This cultivar differs from the species by being much more compact, the species can get up to 3 ft tall. Fall brings a nice tan color that quite ornamental with the shape of the leaves.

This cultivar prefers a part shade environment with adequate moisture. The more sun the more moisture. We find that in more shady spots getting enough water isn't a problem for this sedge. A great option for shade gardens, along walkways, pond/water feature edges, and anywhere you need some texture in the garden. This cultivar was rated a top performer in the Mt. Cuba Centers Carex trial.
