Known for its unique fan shaped foliage and stunning yellow/gold fall color this is an easy to grow tree that is a staple in many gardens. Good as a shade tree as it gets on the larger side but grows with a nice upright oval habit. Best in full sun in moist well drained soils. Male and female flowers are on separate plants. Fertilized female plants produce a fleshy fruit that can be messy and have a distinct smell. There are male only cultivars available to avoid this such as 'Autumn Gold'.
